The CampOnThis blog is now officially launched! People have frequently asked over the last several months if I was going to join "the blogosphere" and make it a valuable addition to the A1M website. In order to better serve you, the decision was prayerfully made to do both. Nothing will diminish at A1M site whatsoever; but the blog will afford some unique opportunities to write from a biblical worldview on issues that occur daily in our world that tend to be a bit more pithy in nature.
For those who may not be familiar with the difference between a blog and a website, or possibily may just be asking, "what is a blog?", here is a brief explanation. A blog is a running journal or commentary on a variety of specific subjects that allow immediate comments from those reading the blogs to be posted at the end of each article. Unlike the website, a blog tends to be more focused around daily events and/or news and themes. Whereas the website has long term functional aspects to the articles, banner ads, music downloads, product orders, longer content, and the opportunity to exposit sections of God's Word.
Some features at CampOnThis are: a list of valuable links to other "blogentators", web-ministries, news agencies, Bible study helps and devotionals. Also, there is a comment link found at the end of each article to post your comments immediately after reading the articles. It will also give you the chance to dialogue with others on the theme of what has been written. (The iron can really "sharpen the iron" in that kind of dialy feedback.)
Lastly, I have chosen the lighthouse imagery for the blog for three main reasons: 1. a lighthouse offers light in the darkness; 2. it stands as a beacon to give safe passage; even if through rough weather; and 3. it is a fixed point on the horizon to help keep ones barrings. This illustrates the purpose of God's Word in our lives: 1. It is the shining in the darkness to which we should give our full attention; a lamp to our feet and a light to our path; 2. it's truth obeyed gives safe passage through this world that is pleasing and glorifying to the Lord--even in the most difficult and darkest of times; and, 3. it is immutable, unchanging truth-- the fixed point of reality for the Christian that allow us to keep our spiritual barring in our lives each day.
I truly hope you enjoy this new addition to the ministry of AudienceONE. Your prayer support is greatly appreciated as we take some new steps together. See you in the "blogosphere!"
To God be the glory,
FOCUS-ON-THE-FAITH

PS - There are several new articles on the site for you to enjoy plus some new music downloads. Also, if you haven't used The Daily Light Devotional I would encourage you to check it out today. It is all Scripture and features the ESV (English Standard Version) translation. It is my personal favorite of devotionals and the ESV is fastly becoming the most critically acclaimed translation of all the translations done within the last 100 years (even over NASB, NKJV, NIV, etc.). Men of God like John Piper and R.C. Sproul use it in their teaching ministries as well.
